Do you care about making the parliament more interactive and transparent? Do you think the government should be by the people and for the people? Do you want to be a part of making your legislature more democratic?
Then join us for the Global Legislative Openness Week (GLOW)!
GLOW is a celebration of open, participatory legislative processes around the world. It is an opportunity for diverse stakeholders – in parliaments, governments and civil society – to collaborate and make progress toward adopting and implementing openness commitments. It is also an opportunity to highlight good work being done in this area around the world. The week is coordinated by members of the Open Parliament e-Network (Directorio Legislativo, Latin American Legislative Transparency Network, National Democratic Institute, OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, ParlAmericas, and Westminster Foundation for Democracy) with collaboration from the Open Government Partnership.
This year’s GLOW campaign will kick off on October 26. Throughout the week, parliaments and CSOs are invited to engage their community in dialogue, kickstart new projects designed to open the legislative branch, and share ideas and experiences.
