The Department of Citizen Participation has developed the Civic Parliaments Program, within which the Agricultural Parliament is registered. It is the ideal parliamentary public management tool to promote the articulation of sectoral parliaments, as spaces for training and citizen political advocacy. On the one hand, it is a space for civic training, because participants learn about legislative technique, parliamentary procedure, the development of bills and the internal functioning of parliamentary bodies. On the other hand, the ParlaAgro and ParlAmbiente give participants the unique and fundamental possibility of directly influencing the construction of public policy.
The presentation of the Civic Citizen Parliaments will be made through interviews about their work and perspectives for the future on Thursday, October 29 at 4:00 pm (Costa Rica time).
